BOMA Boston Committees
Being a BOMA Boston committee member affords you with the opportunity to help shape our programs and events, build relationships and enhance your leadership skills. BOMA Boston has close to 200 committee members who help plan our 40+ events per year. To maximize the value of your membership, we encourage committee participation. Committee participation requires attendance at committee meetings and active participation as a representative of BOMA Boston. Please email Jill Blanco with your Committee preference(s). You will receive a confirmation and notification of the first committee meeting upon acceptance.

Emerging Professionals Committee
This committee plans and promotes programs and opportunities to foster the professional growth of new industry leaders within the organization. Recommended for professionals with 0-10 years of industry experience. The Emerging Professionals Committee meets approximately monthly. Active Assignment
This committee plans programs and offers opportunities to involve engineers in the association, including the judging of the Engineer Awards for the Annual TOBY & Industry Awards. The committee is also in charge of providing content and promoting various Engineer programs, including Tech Tours and seminars. The Engineering Committee meets every other month as needed. Medium Assignment
Special Events Committee
This committee is responsible for planning and promoting two signature summer events: the Annual Fishing Tournament held in June and Annual Golf Tournament held in July, as well as assist with Springfest in May and Fallfest in October. This committee meets monthly from February - September. Medium Assignment
This committee is responsible for assisting with the dues renewal process for BOMA Members including outreach to members. The committee is responsible for leading generation and identifying ways to engage and retain members. The Membership Committee meets monthly from January- March and then every other month for the remainder of the year. Active Assignment
This committee advocates and develops best practices and initiatives regarding emergency preparedness for BOMA Boston Members. The committee also plans and promotes the September Emergency Preparedness Roundtable. The Preparedness Committee meets every other month or as needed. Medium Assignment
Programs & Education Committee
This committee is responsible for planning and marketing BOMA's educational offerings, including the monthly Roundtables. The Programs & Education Committee meets monthly. Active Assignment
Sustainability & Innovation Committee
This committee is responsible for promoting and supporting sustainability initiatives, programs and resources for BOMA Boston's Membership. The committee is responsible for planning the April Sustainability Roundtable and providing updates to the Green Calendar. The Sustainability Committee meets monthly from January - April and then every other month. Medium Assignment
TOBY & Industry Awards Committee
The TOBY & Industry Awards Committee is responsible for identifying and encouraging buildings to compete in the TOBY Awards. The committee is also responsible for encouraging participation with the Industry Awards. The Committee meets monthly from February - September and as needed. Active Assignment
Additional Involvement Opportunity
TOBY & Industry Awards Judging
This short term, active assignment is for TOBY & Industry Awards judging only from September - October. All judges are required to fill out a Judging Application and attend one of two mandatory Judge Orientation Meetings in September. Please refer to our TOBY & Industry Awards page for more information about the submission and judging process.
