GBAR Celebrates Excellence at the 2025 Annual Awards Breakfast
The Greater Boston Association of REALTORS® (GBAR) proudly hosted its Annual Awards Breakfast on September 25, 2025, bringing together members to celebrate the achievements, service, and commitment of REALTORS® who exemplify the best of our profession and our community.
Held at the beautiful Wellesley Country Club, the event featured an inspirational program, recognition of milestone anniversaries, presentation of the association’s top awards, and a lively silent auction supporting the REALTORS® Political Action Committee.
Honoring Our 2025 Award Winners
GBAR presented five major awards this year, honoring outstanding REALTORS® whose professionalism, leadership, and service have made a lasting impact on our industry and community.

REALTOR® of the Year – Jared Wilk, Compass
Recognized for his business success, leadership, and dedication to advancing the REALTOR® organization at every level. Jared has served as GBAR President, MAR and NAR Director, and has guided countless initiatives that strengthen our association. His team has achieved nearly $290 million in sales volume in the past 18 months, while he remains deeply committed to giving back through community service and volunteer leadership.
Andrew F. Hickey Distinguished Service Award – David McCarthy, Keller Williams Realty
Honored for more than 20 years of service to the REALTOR® organization. David is a Past President of both GBAR and the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS®, a State Political Coordinator, and a respected business leader who runs Keller Williams offices in Boston-Metro and Chestnut Hill. His leadership has shaped our industry at the local, state, and national levels.
Good Neighbor Award – Debbie Lewis, Compass
Celebrated for her work with
HomeStart’s CHAF Campaign, raising more than $510,000 over the past five years to help prevent homelessness and eviction. Each year, her efforts help approximately 80 families and individuals move into or remain in stable housing. In recognition of her service, GBAR also presented a $2,500 donation to HomeStart to further support its mission.
REALTOR® Spirit Award – Sheryle DeGirolamo, Kensington Real Estate Brokerage
Honored for embodying the REALTOR® spirit of generosity, service, and professionalism. Sheryle consistently goes above and beyond to support her clients, colleagues, and community. She is known for her integrity, leadership, and tireless commitment to giving back — qualities that inspire others and exemplify what it means to be a REALTOR®.
Affiliate of the Year – Liz Barletta, Ligris + Associates
Recognized for her outstanding contributions as an affiliate member, Liz has been a trusted partner and strong supporter of GBAR and its members. She has consistently demonstrated a commitment to building relationships, providing value to REALTORS®, and supporting the association’s programs and events. Her dedication reflects the vital role our affiliate members play in the success of our organization.
Rising Star Award – Lindsey Bazigian, Lamacchia Realty, Inc.
Acknowledged for her early career success, strong client relationships, and dedication to community service. In her second year in real estate, Lindsey has already closed eight properties this year while also working with Massachusetts Fallen Heroes to support Gold Star Families and helping raise more than $1 million at their 2025 Patriot Week Gala.
Rising Star Award – Jess Oknin, Gibson Sotheby's International Realty
Recognized for combining her real estate work with a passion for service. Jess is a dedicated volunteer with Volo Sports, providing free athletic programs to children, and she works extensively with families using housing vouchers to secure safe, stable homes. Her work ensures that families in need have access to housing and opportunities to thrive.
