Careers Committee: The Careers Committee is responsible for promoting careers in the multifamily housing industry and encouraging recruitment efforts of our members, with a long-term goal of fostering the growth of the local rental housing workforce. The committee also plans special events, such as industry panels, career fairs, community outreach events and more.
Committee Chair: Fran Doherty, Lincoln Property Company
DEI Committee: New in 2021, The DEI Committee will oversee MAA's DEI Initiative with the goal of creating a more welcoming and inclusive multifamily industry. The committee will focus on being a resource to the membership with education and policy.
Committee Co-Chairs: Ted Papadopoulos, AMPS Law, P.C and Mary Taylor, Beacon Communities
Education Committee: This committee is responsible for planning and marketing MAA’s educational offerings, including programs, NAAEI (National Apartment Association Education Institute) Credential programs, and local sessions on timely topics in the rental housing industry.

Emerging Professionals Committee: The committee meets throughout the year to support building networks and enhancing professional development for those 35 years and under. The committee is responsible for planning social & educational events for the EPs of MAA. The EP Committee meets every other month or as needed.

MAA Expo Committee: The MAA Expo Committee is responsible for planning and marketing the Annual MAA Expo. The committee is tasked with generating new exhibitor leads, identifying ways to retain and engage existing exhibitors and developing speaker ideas. This committee is responsible for securing 800 attendees.

Membership Committee: This committee is responsible for assisting with the dues renewal process for MAA Members including outreach to new members. The committee is responsible for lead generation and identifying ways to engage and retain members.
