Selling The Sun: Listing, Marketing, And Establishing Value
Overview of information real estate agents need to address solar photovoltaics (PV) in the residential real estate transaction. Topics include the rapidly emerging residential solar PV market, a breakdown of how the technology works, and resources you need to value solar PV and explain the value to your sellers and buyers. A snapshot of what a successful sale of a home with solar looks like – a home that has an owned solar PV system and a home that has a solar PV system that is leased by a third party (Example Solar City). You will be able to identify what success looks like and how to get there! Prior to the course, we will have opening remarks from 2022 NAR First Vice President, Tracy Kasper. Tracy will review NAR’s sustainability initiatives and discuss how the real estate market is transforming and what we can do to stay knowledgeable within our profession.

 Featured Speaker: Tracy Kasper, 2022 NAR First Vice President 

Tracy is the broker/owner of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Silverhawk Realty in the Boise Valley and a majority owner in two other Idaho real estate companies. Tracy has served on the NAR Board of Directors since 2016 and   chaired the 50th Anniversary of RPAC Implementation Group in 2018. She was a   member of the Future of the REALTOR® Party Presidential Advisory Group (PAG) in 2017 and the RPAC State Fundraising Partnership Goal PAG in 2016. She is a primary member of the Caldwell Board of REALTORS®. Tracy is a past president of the Nampa Association of REALTORS® and is a past REALTOR® of the Year for both the Nampa (2001) and Caldwell (2011) associations. Tracy has served as Chairman of the Board for the Caldwell Chamber of Commerce (2009) and is a former Honorary Commander for the Idaho Air National Guard in Boise.

Craig’s combination of real estate and energy management skills give him a unique perspective about sustainable energy solutions and subject matter expertise on high-performance home valuation and marketing. Craig was one of five people in the U.S. to receive the EverGreen Award by the National Association of Realtors (NAR). Craig loves sharing his green and energy efficient expertise with homeowners and real estate professionals, and has previously served as the chairperson of GBAR's Sustainability Committee.
