Governor Baker Signs Executive Order for a Recommended Curfew

 

Today, Monday, November 2nd, Governor Baker announced that he has signed an executive order for a recommended curfew between 10:00PM and 5:00AM beginning Friday, November 6th. The revised stay at home advisory asks residents avoid unnecessary activities that could lead to increased COVID transmission. 

 

Beginning this Friday, November 6th, certain businesses and activities are required to close at 9:30PM. These include:

  • Restaurants (takeout and delivery may continue past 9:30PM for food and non-alcoholic beverages)
  • Liquor stores and other retail establishments that sell alcohol
  • Adult-use marijuana sales (not including medical)
  • Indoor and outdoor events
  • Theaters/movie theaters (including drive-in)
  • Youth and adult amateur sports events
  • Golf facilities
  • Recreational boating
  • Outdoor recreational experiences
  • Casinos and horse tracks/simulcast facilities
  • Driving and flight schools
  • Zoos, botanical gardens, wildlife reserve and nature centers
  • Close contact personal services (including hair and nail salons)
  • Gyms, fitness centers, and health clubs
  • Indoor and outdoor pools
  • Museums/cultural and historical facilities, guided tours

Civil Unrest in the Wake of Tomorrow's Election
