The Office of Public Safety and Inspections (OPSI) sets and oversees infrastructure safety standards across Massachusetts. The OPSI mission is to promote safety in design, construction, installation, inspection, operation, repair and alteration of elevators and includes oversight of Massachusetts Building Code 780 CMR. Join the Greater Boston Real Estate Board to learn about changes to the Massachusetts State Building Code and statewide energy code.
Keynote Speaker:
Robert Anderson, Chief of Inspections – Building & Engineering
Division of Professional Licensure, Office of Public Safety and Inspections
Robert Anderson has served as the Chief of Inspections for the Office of Public Safety and Inspections Building & Engineering Divisions since 2006 and has served in varied capacities for the BBRS and DPS since 1989. He a certified building code enforcement official, certified amusement device safety inspector, and a member of the MEMA Essential Support Function Team, assessing building damage following a natural or manmade event. Mr. Anderson is a graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology with a degree in architectural engineering.
