Our winter RealTour Member Meetings focus on home inspections and will feature leadership from the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), New England Chapter. The presentations will include checklists for home inspections and the expectations REALTORS® should have of inspection so they can properly advise their clients. They will also discuss the home inspector qualifications and will distinguish the difference between a licensed home inspector and an ASHI-Certified Inspector. 

Additionally, the presentation will examine use of an engineer vs. contractor to address structural issues, red flags when inspecting chimneys and heating systems, Infrared technology, and the pros & cons of waiving a home inspection. 

We’re also pleased to host a spokesperson from MassSave, who will speak to the various programs available to Massachusetts residents that would provide tax credits or any incentives relating to improving their homes energy efficiency.
