For this meeting, we're pleased to welcome Sunila Thomas George, Esq., Chairwoman of the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD), who will lead a discussion regarding fair housing issues including what constitutes illegal conduct under state and federal fair housing laws, fair housing risks in the COVID-19 Era, and best practices to avoid a fair housing complaint. She will also share information on the most common acts of fair housing discrimination in home sales and rentals, and the newly-issued HUD guidance on assistance animals.




We'll also have Lisa Fiandaca, Director of Homeownership Production at MassHousing, who will share and update their first-time homebuyer programs and operations, borrower eligibility qualifications and business operations, and customer service during the health crisis.
