REALTORS® Got Talent a Success for the NAR PAF
Last Wednesday, April 24, over 150 people packed the Hard Rock Café in Boston to enjoy both the musical and comedic talents of REALTORS®. Hosted by Laurie Cadigan of Barrett and Co. in Concord and Larry Rideout of Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty in Boston, the night had lots of laughter and entertainment, and it all raised money for the National Association of REALTORS® Political Advocacy Fund, which supports NAR issues campaigns and political programs that matter the most to the real estate industry. David Huddleston (The Charles Realty, Boston) and his band Biscuits and Gravy took home the top honors, but there were outstanding performances from Rebecca Riopelle (Beth York Realty, Arlington), Gabrielle Hollis (Acton Real Estate Co., Acton), Katie Beth Clark (Metro Realty Corp., Brookline), Deborah Galiga (Jamaica Hill Realty, Jamaica Plain), and Lisa Macalaster and the Coldwell Banker House Band (Coldwell Banker, Beacon Hill). The winner was ultimately decided by the audience, but MAR President Kimberly Allard-Moccia (Century 21 Professionals, Braintree), MAR CEO Rob Authier, and GBAR Past President Mel Martocchia (Martocchia and Co., Waltham) provided fantastic feedback as the judges. Additionally, 19 raffle prizes were given away. All-in-all, the night was a great success, helping GBAR reach its promised goal of a $6,000 donation to the NAR PAF. A big thank you goes out to the event sponsors, Alavi and Braza, P.C., Herbert H. Landy Insurance Co., and MSA Mortgage. Like us on facebook and then check out photos from the event.
