Community Chats Coming Up in Regions 2 and 4
GBAR’s newest series, “Community Chats” is designed to bring local hot topics directly to the regions that they are affecting. After the great success of the first two chats in early May, we are excited to bring you two more chats on May 21 and 22. On May 21, Victoria Maguire, State Permit Ombudsman/Director for the Massachusetts Permit Regulatory Office from the Executive Office of Housing and Economic Development, will discuss the partnership with MassDevelopment, Regional Planning Agencies, and the Massachusetts Alliance for Economic Development and their goals to accomplish the core mission of community vitality, affordable housing and the major developments occurring in the region 2 area.
Region 4 will also hear from Maguire, as well as Tom O’Rourke, president of the Neponset Valley Chamber of Commerce and Paul Matthews, executive director of the 495/MetroWest Partnership on May 22. The focus here will be on the 495/MetroWest Partnership, and how unique public-private collaboration with businesses, municipalities, and other stakeholders makes it the regional leader for creating an environment that prepares for and cultivates sustainable growth.
