Giving Back To The Community

The core mission of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board (GBREB) is to provide education, advocacy and philanthropy to the Greater Boston Community. In order to facilitate philanthropy, GBREB established the Greater Boston Real Estate Board Foundation - a charitable, tax exempt organization. In 2011, GBREB created a scholarship program to provide financial assistance to high school seniors with exceptional academic ability in the Greater Boston area that are pursuing their dream of receiving a college education. The scholarships range from $500 - $5,000, guaranteed for two years. Please pass this information along if you know a high school senior that meets the scholarship criteria, or ideally distribute the scholarship application to your local high school, and community youth organizations such as Boys and Girls Clubs and YMCA. The deadline to submit an application is April 14. Additionally, later this spring, GBAR will award grants of up to $2,500 through the GBREB Foundation to approximately one dozen local housing-related non-profit organizations. The deadline to apply is March 17. For more information or to obtain an application, visit our charitable giving page or contact Kevin Butler at 617-399-7840 or kbutler@gbreb.com.
