The information and links on this page pertain to enforcement of the REALTOR® Code of Ethics, including; ethics complaints and violations, disciplining of Members, and the mediation and arbitration of disputes as defined in Article 17 of the REALTOR® Code of Ethics.

By virtue of its charter by the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®, the Greater Boston Board of Real Estate has both a duty and an obligation to enforce the REALTOR® Code of Ethics among Members who hold REALTOR® membership in the Board. Board members who hold REALTOR® membership subscribe to the REALTOR® Code Ethics as a condition of membership, and agree to uphold the Code of Ethics in their business dealings with clients, customers and other REALTORS®.

Pursuant to the Bylaws of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board, t he responsibility of the Board and of Board Members relating to the enforcement of the Code of Ethics, the disciplining of Members, and the arbitration of disputes, and the organization and procedures incident thereto, shall be governed by the Code of Ethics and Arbitration Manual of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®, as amended from time to time, provided, however, that any provision deemed inconsistent with state law shall be deleted or amended to comply with state law .
