We at GBAR often hear members talking about the good ole days of "councils", in which our membership came together to network and discuss what was going on in their industry and local market. We understand that you valued these local meetings, and we are happy to introduce new "Community Chats" programs, which will take place in each of GBAR’s four regions, two times per year. The first round will be held this Spring, and the first two will take place in regions one (May 1) and three (May 3). Region One will enjoy a presentation at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston by Vivien Li, President of the Boston Harbor Association, who will discuss the Seaport and Harbor District. She will also give a tour of the Harborwalk for the first 20 people who register. Region Three will hear from Jennifer Raitt and Eric Bourassa from the Metropolitan Area Planning Council, who will focus on the RT. 128 "Add-A-Lane" project, and other upcoming local housing projects planned for metro west communities. This is your opportunity to learn about local hot topics, so I encourage you to become involved and register today!
