Be a Part of GBAR's Future
Although it is a little crazy to think about, the fourth quarter of 2013 is fast approaching, which means the preparations for 2014 have begun. One of the most valuable tools that GBAR has is its member volunteer committees. Members that donate their time to help the organization find solutions to issues, create new programs, and offer a real life perspective on decisions impacting the real estate industry. When you choose to take an active role in the association you become a part of the decision-making process, you give back to your profession, and you also have a whole new networking opportunity. For example, with the help of the Business Development and Education Committees, the first-ever GBAR Roadshow Conference and Expo will be held later this month. The Community Service Committee meets every year to select organizations to receive monetary grants from the GBREB Foundation. The Professional Standards and Grievance Committees make up the panels when arbitration and ethics complaints come forward. There are so many different ways to be involved and really make an impact. I invite and encourage you to submit an application, whether you have served before or if you are a first time volunteer to committees, and help us advance the REALTOR® Cause and mission of the association.
