Who is the BOMA Boston Engineer Committee?
The BOMA Boston Engineer Committee is a volunteer committee of Engineers and Technicians from within the BOMA Boston membership. The mission of this committee is to provide professional development, facilitate a premier networking forum for building engineering professionals and to promote best practices within the commercial real estate engineering community. The committee meets every 6-8 weeks to discuss committee goals and initiatives and for an idea sharing session at the conclusion of each meeting.

BOMA Boston offers Tech Seminars, Tech Talks and Tech Tours to our Engineer Community
- Tech Seminars are half day educational classes on technical and engineer focused topics. Tech Seminars are a new addition to the Engineer Committee education series. Each Tech Seminar features a very in depth class compared to the shorter Tech Talks previously offered.
- Tech Talks are hour long roundtable discussions on very specific engineer items of interest. Typically Tech Talks are held in conjunction with breakfast or lunch.
- Tech Tours take you throughout Massachusetts to see the behind the scenes of new projects, new technology and unique venues of engineering interest. Tech Tours can last between one hour and a half day pending on the location, but no matter how long the length the tours are interesting and unique.

SMT® - Systems Maintenance Technician
SMA® - Systems Maintenance Administrator
BOMI International’s SMT and SMA designation programs help you increase the operating effectiveness of your building and make you more valuable to your organization.
