Boston President Rob Brierley wins the BOMA Mid-Atlantic Region Member of the
Year BOMA Boston garnered three top building honors at the BOMA Mid-Atlantic TOBY (The Office Building of the Year) Awards last week. In the Historical Building category, 250 Massachusetts Avenue won. The building, owned by Novartis and managed by Jones Lang LaSalle, is the former NECCO factory, and was a favorite among BOMA MAC judges. In the Renovated Building Category, 100/200 Technology Square took home top honors. The building is owned by Alexandria Real Estate Equities and is managed by Jones Lang LaSalle. Tech Square has undergone significant renovations in the past few years and its ability to maintain client satisfaction through the renovations impressed the judges. Taking home top honors in the 500,000 – 1,000,000 SF category was One Boston Place, which is owned by TIAA/CREF and SITQ, and is managed by CB Richard Ellis/New England. One Boston Place is a leader in the green movement in Boston, and is hoping to become the first LEED-EB building in Boston. Each of the regional TOBY winners will compete for the International TOBY Awards at the BOMA International Real Estate Congress on June 24 in Denver, CO.
