Committees

The programs and services REFA offers are the backbone of the association and are the responsibility of a variety of committees made up of REFA members. Joining a committee is a key way to optimize your REFA membership. Listed below are the 2012 REFA committees in which you are welcome to become involved. REFA’s success is directly related to the participation of its members and so we invite you to return this form at your earliest convenience with your committee choice(s).

Education Committee: The Education Committee is responsible for identifying topics and securing speakers for over 12 educational programs per year. The committee also assists with promoting events. The Edcuation Committee meets monthly. Active committee assignment

REFA Emerging Leaders Committee: The Emerging Leaders Committee plans networking and educational eventswith a focus on leadership development. They also coordinate several community service projects with several different charitable organizations throughout the year. The Emerging Leaders Committee meets monthly (members aged 35 and younger). Active committee assignment

Fall Conference Committee:  The Fall Conference Committee is responsible for planning the Fall Conference, including identifying topics, securing speakers, and promoting the event. The 2013 Fall Conference is September 6th. The committee meets monthly from May - August. Medium committee assignment - Deadline to join: May 1^st

REFA Golf Committee: The Golf Committee plans and promotes REFA's annual charitable golf tournament held on July 22, 2013. The committee meets monthly from April - July. Medium committee assignment – Deadline to join: April 1^st

Industry Leaders Series Committee: The Industry Leaders Committee is responsible for planning and promoting 2 luncheons per year featuring an industry leader with a national perspective. The Industry Leaders Committee meets every other month or as needed. Medium committee assignment

Luncheon Committee: The Members-Only Luncheon Committee is responsible for planning 5 Members-Only Luncheons per year. Responsibilities include identifying topics and speakers, securing speakers and assisting with marketing. The luncheon committee meets monthly. Active committee assignment

Membership Committee: The Membership Committee is responsible for generating new member leads, assisting with the renewal process, identifying ways to retain and attract new members. The Membership Committee meets monthly from January - March and then every other month for the remainder of the year. Active committee assignment in first half of year - Deadline to join: March 1^st
